Otumfuo Expresses Joy Over Access Bank’s Female Leadership

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, expressed joy over the growing presence of women in leadership at Access Bank Ghana Plc.

This follows an introduction of female-dominated leadership to him during a courtesy visit by the financial institution’s management on May 13, 2026.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce the newly appointed Managing Director, Pearl Nkrumah.

The delegation included Board Chairperson Ama Sarpong Bawuah, Head of Financial Control & Strategy Akosua Biama Aboagye, and Head of Consumer Banking Ama Boateng.

Welcoming the team, the Asantehene said he was encouraged by the bank’s female-dominated leadership.

“Women are now advancing. That gladdens me. We have to continue offering them the needed assistance,” he stated.

Otumfuo urged institutions to create more opportunities for women to rise through education and professional pathways, noting that their advancement strengthens both the economy and society.
