One-Week Observation of Late Mamponghene Held

The Asante Mampong Traditional Council has held the One-week observation of the late Occupant of the Silver Stool, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II.
The event took place at the Amaniampong Palace in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on May 12, 2025, and was attended by high-profile personalities across the length and breadth of the country.

The Queen of the Traditional Area was at the helm of affairs, taking centre stage in the mourning and traditional rites.
The widow was also present with the immediate family members of the late traditional ruler.
In attendance were traditional authorities, government officials, representatives of corporate institutions and celebrities.
Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, former lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong, Kumasi Mayor, Richard Ofori, Businessman Kwaku Oteng and Actress Nana Ama McBrown were also present.
The Asantehene has given a clear order against keeping the late traditional leader unburied for an extended period.
