Asanteman Mourns: Religious Groups Offer Spiritual Support to Asantehene

Religious groups from across the country have individually extended their unwavering spiritual support to the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
This couldn’t have come at a better time.
The leadership of the Anglican Church, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Bethel Prayer Camp, Catholic Church and Saviour Church of Ghana paid a courtesy visit to the King.
They offered prayers for spiritual fortification and comfort for His Majesty.
The religious groups were among traditional authorities, individuals, as well as corporate institutions who visited the Manhyia Palace on August 20, 2025, to commiserate with the Asantehene over the demise of Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The visit was used to sympathise and express their grief both in words and in kind ahead of the One-week celebration of the Queen.
Among them were Hon Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, Minister for Works and Housing, former Chief Justice, Justice Anin Yeboah, Dr Kwame Kyei, Businessman, Hon Frank Osei Mensah, former Board Member of the Lands Commission and Société Générale.

Representatives of Guinness Ghana, Knights and Ladies of Marshall, the Lands Commission, Attache Construction Limited, NIB Bank, GTP, Asanko Gold Mine, Ghana Draughts Association, and others were also present.
The Queen passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. The One-week observation is scheduled for August 21, 2025.
