Some Nigerian artistes were spotted at yesterday’s Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Burna Boy and Tems were invited to the prestigious and glamorous global fashion event and social gathering.
Held under the theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty”, the 2023 edition of the annual event honoured the artistic contributions of the late German designer Karl Lagerfeld who passed away in 2019 at the age of 85.
Met Gala is an annual fundraising event held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute on the first Monday of May.
It is attended by players in fashion, film, television, music, theatre, business, sports, social media, and politics.
Tems and Burna Boy and Tems attended the event for the first time rocking fashionably in their outfits.
Pictures showed Tems donned in a black and white dress matching a wired facilitator and elbow-reaching gloves.
Burna boy rocked a Burberry Blue and Black suit with parts of the piece sweeping the ground behind him.
Earlier this year, Tems made the headlines when attended the Oscar Academy Awards.
She was criticised by a section for her view-blocking outfit which demanded that audience seated behind her strain their necks to have a view of the event on stage.
Musicians Rihanna and ASAP Rocky, supermodel Ashley Graham, Actor Pedro Pascal, Actress Bella Ramsey, Rapper Cardi B, actress and model Devon Aoki, tennis world champion Serena Williams and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss were among the attendees.
