MahamaCares Courts Regional Ministers to Drive Nationwide Public Awareness Campaign

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has taken another significant step towards bringing life-saving support closer to Ghanaians by engaging Regional Ministers from across the country ahead of its nationwide regional stakeholder engagements.
Held at the Presidency, the high-level meeting brought together the Deputy Chief of Staff, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Minister for Health, Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, Regional Ministers and the Administrator of GMTF, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, to discuss the critical role regional leadership will play in ensuring every Ghanaian understands the Fund’s mandate and how to access its support.
Addressing the meeting, the Administrator called on the Regional Ministers to champion the Trust Fund within their regions by engaging traditional leaders, faith-based organisations, healthcare providers, civil society organisations, the media, and local communities to help spread awareness.
The Regional Ministers pledged their commitment to supporting the initiative as GMTF prepares to roll out stakeholder engagements across all 16 regions.
Together, we are building a future where no eligible Ghanaian is denied life-saving specialised healthcare because of financial difficulties.
