Finance Minister to Present Mid-year Budget on July 23

The Minister for Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, will present the Mid-Year Review of the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2026 Financial Year to Parliament on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Majority Leader and Chairman of the Business Committee, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, confirmed this while presenting the Business Statement for the tenth week ending Friday, July 24, 2026.

According to him, Parliament will hold an additional sitting on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to allow the House to continue with commentary and debate on the mid-year review.

The Mid-Year Review provides an assessment of budget performance for the first half of the year and outlines adjustments to revenue, expenditure and fiscal policy for the remainder of 2026.

Mr Ayariga also told the House that there are currently 486 referrals before 27 Committees awaiting consideration and report.

He urged Committee Chairpersons to work on the referrals before Parliament proceeds on recess.

During the same week, four Ministers are expected to appear before the House to respond to 25 questions from Members of Parliament.
