Ghana have officially qualified for the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, on the back of results from today’s matches.
With four points and one game to spare in the group phase against Croatia tonight, the Black Stars have secured their third knockout stage appearance at the global tournament after 2006 and 2010.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for Ghanaian football, ending a 16-year wait since their last appearance in the knockout phase.
The Black Stars have so far picked up four points from two games, culminated from a 1-0 win over Panama and a hard-fought goalless draw against England. Their impressive defensive record, having not conceded a single goal in the tournament so far, has been one of the standout features of their campaign.
Ghana will wrap up their group campaign against Croatia at 21:00 GMT (9:00 PM) tonight at Lincoln Financial Field. A positive result in this final fixture would further strengthen their position as they head into the knockout stage.
The entire nation will be watching closely as head coach ach Carlos Queiroz and his players have every reason to be proud of what they have achieved so far.
