Kumawu By-Election: Sam Pyne Optimistic Of NPP Victory

The Metropolitan Chief Executive for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon Samuel Pyne (Sam Pyne), has expressed strong optimism that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate will emerge as the winner in the ongoing by-election in Kumawu.

In an interview with Opemsuo News Reporter, Adwoa Serwaa Yonkodo, Hon. Pyne shared his confidence in the NPP’s victory, stating, “I am highly convinced that Ernest Yaw Anim will win the election by the close of polls. I urge all electorates to go out in their numbers and cast their votes.”

He also acknowledged the peaceful nature of the constituency during the electoral process, expressing his satisfaction with the conduct of all stakeholders.

He remarked, “I am happy that all stakeholders, including political parties, candidates, and residents, have conducted themselves very well and law-abiding.”

Recognizing the efforts of the security forces, he commended the Police for providing maximum security, ensuring a smooth and orderly exercise.

“The Police have done a great job in providing security and maintaining order throughout the process.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Offin Ebenezer, the Presiding Officer for Kumawu Methodist Church Polling Station A, shared his observations with Adwoa Serwaa Yonkodo, stating, “The exercise has so far been peaceful and smooth. There has not been any challenge on the part of the Electoral Commission, and I expect a successful exercise.”

As the by-election in Kumawu progressed, the optimism expressed by Sam Pyne and Mr. Offin Ebenezer reflected the confidence in the NPP’s potential victory and the overall smooth conduct of the electoral process in the constituency.

The Kumawu by-election continues, and final results will be announced following the completion of the voting process.
