KMA Issues Final Eviction Notice to Car Dealers, Others along Santasi-Asokwa Stretch
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has directed car dealers, mechanic shops, and owners of temporary structures along the stretch from Santasi Roundabout to Asokwa Interchange to relocate with immediate effect ahead of ongoing road reconstruction works.
According to the Assembly, all billboards located along Santasi Roundabout to Asokwa Interchange, Santasi Roundabout to Holy Mary on Patasi Road, Santasi Roundabout to Christian Service University Junction or Star Junction, and Ahodwo Roundabout to the Forestry Office towards Atinga Junction must be removed by the night of Thursday, June 11, 2026.
KMA, in a final notice to the public, also announced that as part of the evacuation exercise, the monuments at Ahodwo Roundabout and Santasi Roundabout will be removed starting Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Motorists have been notified to be on the lookout for the movement of heavy-duty machinery and vehicles along the stretch of road under reconstruction and to cooperate accordingly to ensure the smooth execution of the works.
The Management of KMA, in the release, requested the public, especially affected occupants, to comply with the directive to pave the way for the construction of the road.
The Assembly indicated that enforcement action will follow after the deadline for those who fail to comply.
