303 Subject Results and 108 Entire Results of Private WASSCE Candidates Withheld

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is initiating an investigation into 303 subject results and 108 entire results of private West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) candidates over suspected examination malpractices.

These results have been withheld, the Council announced after releasing the provisional results of 38,316 who sat for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2024 – Second Series.

In a statement, it said, “The Council detected some malpractices during the conduct of the examination and during the marking exercise.”

The withheld results are pending the conclusion of investigations, it noted.

Of the candidates who sat for the exam, 17,596 were males while 21,131 were females.

 

Meanwhile, a total of 1,354 candidates who registered for the examination were absent.
