It’s Now Time to Elevate Fiapre to Paramountcy – Otumfuo

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has declared that the time is due to elevate Fiapre to a paramountcy.

Otumfuo made this known on May 25, 2026, while approving a plea by the chief of Awua Dumase to swear an oath of allegiance.

He explained that his plan to elevate Fiapre had been delayed due to the absence of a paramount chief in Awua Dumase, and that the process had to follow tradition.

“I was waiting for you to elevate Fiapre. Now that you are here, I have to inform you and then go ahead,” Otumfuo said.

He then paved the way for Okogyeaman Kwabena Kyere II to take the oath of allegiance as the new Awua Dumasehene.
