Ghana Police Celebrate Detective Lance Corporal Confidence Tetteh for Academic Excellence

The Ghana Police Service has celebrated Detective Lance Corporal Confidence Tetteh of the Cybercrime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for emerging as the Overall Best Level 400 Student in her programme at the University of Cape Coast.

D/L/Cpl Tetteh, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Behaviour and Conflict Management at the College of Distance Education, achieved the feat with an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.8229 for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Her performance earned her the maiden Provost’s Award — the first time the award has been given in the history of the programme.

In a statement, the Police Service said Detective Tetteh has demonstrated that service to the nation and academic brilliance can go hand in hand.

“From tackling cybercrime to topping her class, Detective Tetteh embodies the spirit of the modern Ghanaian police officer — sharp, disciplined, and committed to continuous growth,” a part of the statement read.

The Service congratulated her on the remarkable achievement and described it as an inspiration to officers across the country.

D/L/Cpl Confidence Tetteh serves in the Cybercrime Unit of the CID, where she plays a role in investigating and combating cyber-related offences.

The Ghana Police Service said her success reinforces its commitment to promoting education and professional development among personnel.

“We celebrate her dedication and congratulate her on this remarkable achievement,” the statement added.
