CAGD Warns Government Workers Against Fake ePayslip Update Messages

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department [CAGD] has warned the public, especially government employees, to disregard fraudulent messages circulating online that request users to update their GoG ePayslip accounts through external links.

In a statement, CAGD said the messages, which ask employees to upload passport photographs via unofficial platforms, are fake and did not originate from the department.

“The individuals behind these messages are not staff of CAGD and have not been authorised to request employee information or facilitate payslip updates,” the department stated.

CAGD urged employees not to:
-Click on any links requesting payslip updates
-Upload passport photographs to unofficial platforms
-Share personal information through suspicious links

The department stressed that all official updates are communicated only through authorised CAGD channels, its official website, and recognized government communication platforms. It added that it will never ask employees to submit personal information through unofficial links.

Management said it remains committed to protecting employee information and encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
