CAGD Begins Payment of Arrears to Education and Health Workers
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has announced the commencement of payments for outstanding arrears owed to affected education and health workers dating back to August 2024.
In a statement, CAGD said the payments have commenced and will be completed according to the approved schedule.
The arrears will be paid in four tranches of four months each, covering May, June, July and August 2026.
The department confirmed that the first tranche will be completed by Friday, May 29, 2026, with subsequent payments following the outlined timetable.
CAGD expressed appreciation to the affected beneficiaries for their patience and forbearance as it works to settle the outstanding amounts.
