Asantehene Hails Telecel Ghana CEO as Ideal Model For Girls

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has recognised the Chief Executive Officer of Telecel Ghana, Ing Patricia Obo-Nai, as an ideal model for Ghanaian youth, particularly girls.
In a country where a few women hold the ambition to climb the academic ladder to occupy top positions which are traditionally reserved for men, Ing Obo-Nai is among the few yet growing women smashing the glass ceiling.
His Majesty, at the fourth Awukudae festival on May 7, 2025, celebrated and commended the woman who made history as the first female CEO of Vodafone Ghana on her academic achievements.
The Asantehene used the occasion to motivate young girls to tread in her steps.
“The CEO has now advanced in education. She is now an Engineer. I urge all to take education seriously.”
The leadership of the telecommunication company was at the Manhyia Palace purposely to extend the company’s felicitation to the King on the celebration of his birthday, which was yesterday.
The team presented a beautiful portrait of the intertwined Adinkra symbols as well as golf balls to the King.
