Ghanaians Fume At Reviewed Zone Bundles
Some Ghanaians have taken to social media to vent out against the reviewed Zone bundle package by telecommunication Company MTN Ghana.
The anxious wait for the data bundle package came to an end on Friday but it appears the prices and the data offers were least expected.
MTN Ghana suspended the Package on April 5 following a detection of a breach of the Significant Market Power (SMP) directives by the National Communication Authority (NCA).
The NCA last week explained that the Zone bundle, contrary to the SMP, was the lowest in the market. Also, it said the MTN failed to secure approval before enrolling it and disregarded the mandatory publication of tariffs including the terms and conditions.
An SMS from MTN earlier this week said the package will be reinstated in May at reviewed prices.
Previously, customers could get 1GB of data bundle at GHC1.50 for a day; 2GB with GHC2 for a day and; 5GB bundle with GHC3 for a day.
With the reviewed prices, customers only get 323 MB for a day at GHC1.94; 489MB for a day at GHC2.59 and; 796 for a day at GHC3.89.
Some Ghanaians have taken to Twitter to vent out their displeasure at the development with others weighing in on other options available on other networks.
