Application Opens for Jamaica’s Recruitment of Ghanaian Specialist Nurses and Physicians

The Government of Ghana, in partnership with the Government of Jamaica, is recruiting qualified medical and nursing professionals for specialist roles in Jamaica, the Ministry of Health has announced.
The career opportunity covers 13 positions.
For nursing, openings include Specialist Nurses in Neonatology, Oncology, Critical Care, Nephrology, Emergency, Peri-Operative Nursing, plus Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife.
For physicians at the fellowship level, Jamaica is seeking General Surgeons, Internal Medicine Specialists, Anaesthesiologists, Pathologists, Nephrologists and Cardiologists.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of Ghana’s Medical & Dental Council and Nursing & Midwifery Council.
The Ministry said candidates should also have at least two years’ working experience after post-basic education.
Application Requirements
Interested professionals must provide: academic certificates, certificate of good standing, current and previous appointment letters, police clearance from CID covering the last six months, birth certificate, immunization certificate, change of name certificate where applicable, two CVs, two reference letters dated within the last six months, passport-size photo with white background, biodata page of a passport with at least two years validity, and the completed application form.
Certified copies of qualifications and professional registration will be submitted on the interview day.

Applications open Monday, June 1, 2026 and close Friday, June 5, 2026. Candidates must apply through the Ministry of Health’s Recruitment Portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh.
The Ministry noted that only suitable applications will be acknowledged.
