In notices issued on Saturday, July 4, the ECG said the exercise will take place between 9:00am and 3:00pm and is aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening the distribution network in the affected areas.

According to the company, two separate maintenance activities will be carried out during the same time period.

The first will affect residents in Kumawu, Oyoko, Banko, Akrofonso, Asamang, Atwea and surrounding areas. The second will impact customers in Onwe, Asienimpong, Kwaso and surrounding areas.

ECG explained that the planned works form part of ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure and ensure more reliable electricity supply across the region.

The company acknowledged that the interruption will cause inconvenience to residents and businesses and expressed regret over the disruption.

Customers in the affected communities have been advised to take necessary precautions, including switching off electrical appliances before the outage and only turning them on after power has been fully restored.
