YEA Says It Recruited 86,000 Young People in 2025

The Youth Employment Agency says it recruited over 86,000 young people last year, setting what it describes as an unprecedented record for the Agency.
The announcement came as the YEA Board opened a high-level workshop aimed at developing strategies to surpass that figure.
The workshop, led by Board Chairman Lawyer Abubakari Mutiu, is focused on strengthening policy direction, improving operational efficiency, and expanding employment opportunities for young Ghanaians.
Mr Mutiu said the Agency must continue pushing boundaries to create sustainable jobs despite limited resources.
He urged management and stakeholders to remain innovative, committed, and results-oriented in advancing YEA’s mandate of job creation and youth empowerment across the country.
The Board said the workshop forms part of its commitment to build on last year’s performance and ensure more young people benefit from YEA programmes in 2026.
