We Look Forward to Tomorrow’s Grand Durbar- Eswatini King

The King of Eswatini, His Majesty Mswati III, has expressed his eagerness for the planned durbar to welcome him at the Manhyia Palace.
The durbar which will be hosted at Dwabrem grounds on June 26, 2025, will be hosted by the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and will be attended by Asante traditional leaders.
Addressing the National House of Chiefs on June 25, the King served his anticipation towards the event as he spoke about the warm traditional welcome he has received since his arrival in the country and particularly in Kumasi.
“Since our arrival, we have been received not as mere visitors but as members of an extended family. From the vibrant cultural displays to a heartfelt embrace here in Kumasi, we are feeling truly at home.
“This exemplifies the spirit of Africa where borders are transcendent in our shared history that unite us beyond our difference. We are looking forward to the grand durbar of Chiefs tomorrow where we will witness different performances of chiefs.”
He further recalled with pride, the historic visit of Otumfuo to Eswatini in 2015.
The visit, His Majesty, said was a “milestone in our bilateral relations.”
He strongly believes his reciprocal visit will further cement the partnership between his Kingdom, Asante and Ghana.
“It is with great pleasure that we reciprocate his gesture seeking to further solidify our partnership. Our aspirations extend beyond cultural exchange as we have immense potential for cooperation in technology, tourism, trade and education. The possibilities are beyond us.”
