Register With Our Embassy; Veep to Ghanaians in Angola

Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has encouraged Ghanaians living in Angola to enrol on the roll of Ghana’s embassy in Luanda.
During an engagement with them after the conclusion of the AU–EU Summit, she underscored the relevance of the measure, saying it would ensure access to accurate information and proper support.
Meanwhile, she commended them for properly and honourably projecting the image of Ghana in Angola.
The commendation was on the back of the Ambassador’s reports of zero incidents of wrongdoing since she assumed office.
This “speaks to the discipline, integrity, and commitment of our nationals here.”
The veep also emphasised the government’s commitment to advancing inclusive national development, lifting those on the margins, especially women and children, and addressing fundamental needs such as food, water, shelter, and opportunity.
“Ghana aims to be self-sufficient, particularly in food production. Being located in the tropics gives us a strategic advantage, and the government is reviewing past methods and charting bold new strategies to achieve food sovereignty,” she reported in a Facebook post on the engagement.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang also highlighted her government’s resolve to add value to natural resources rather than exporting them all in their raw form to create jobs, retain wealth, and transform communities.
Her delegation included the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and my Political Advisor, Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo. We were hosted by Ghana’s Ambassador to Angola, H.E. Mavis Esi Kusorgbor.
