2024 WAFCON: We Believe In Your Ability to Make History- Jordan Ayew to Black Queens

The Captain of the Black Stars, Jordan Ayew, has motivated the Black Queens as they go into the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) clash against Morocco.
In an official statement, he expressed his pride over the output of the team, adding that their cohesion was a model for other national teams.
“To my sisters, the Black Queens! I’m beyond proud of the way you’ve represented Ghana on the biggest stage. Your determination, skill, and teamwork are an inspiration to us all.”
Ayew is certain beyond a reasonable doubt that the team is more than capable of succeeding.
“As you prepare to take on Morocco in the semifinals, I want you to know that the entire Ghanaian football family is behind you. We’re rooting for you, and we believe in your ability to make history. Go out there, give it your all, and make Ghana proud!”
Head Coach Kim Björkegren, in an interview, stated his side had in place a realistic and strategic game plan against the hosts.
“I study everything. I watch the patterns, the matchups. I like to feel in control, even if I’m not the one on the pitch. That’s where the planning with my staff comes in… Sure, a stadium packed with 21,000 fans can be intimidating, but it can also work the other way. If we stay calm and focused, we can silence that crowd.”
Meanwhile, he affirmed that his side is better than it was when he first took over.
“But the positive side is how quickly you see the development. I think we’re a better team now than we were one or two months ago…This is a group that’s grown stronger with every match.”
