AS Monaco Celebrates Mohammed Salisu Using Asante Twi Language

Ligue 1 side AS Monaco has celebrated Ghana international Mohammed Salisu on his Man of the Match decoration following his stellar performance in yesterday’s league.
The French club, while celebrating the centre-back, opted for the Ghanaian Asante Twi language in a Facebook post.
It wrote, “A𝗮𝗻𝗲, ɔ𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮 ɔ𝘆ɛɛ 𝗮𝗱𝗲ɛ 𝘄ɔ 𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗿ɔ 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘂.” To wit, “Yes, he was the best player in the game.”

Mohammed Salisu was voted Player of the Match by the UEFA Technical Observer in Monaco’s 2-2 draw against Cypriot side Pafos.
This was in spite of his own goal in the 88th minute, which denied the Principality club a win.
Salisu joined Monaco from Southampton in 2023, signing a contract that runs until June 2028.
