Sarkodie, Giovani Caleb, Quamina MP React To Fuse ODG Arrest In UK

Social media users have reached out to Grammy award winner Fuse ODG following his sour encounter with the police in the United Kingdom earlier this year.

Among them included musicians and Television personalities.

The artiste shared the “embarrassing” ordeal of his arrest by four Brixton Metropolitan Police in South London in an Instagram post on Thursday, May 18.

He was captured in a video being overwhelmed, handcuffed and dragged out of his Range Rover after one officer said he could smell cannabis in his car.

TV Presenter Giovanni Caleb in the comment section urged him to pursue the case which many including ODG believe was rather racial. According to him, the video is “horrible”.

“This BS is so horrible. I’m glad you released this chale. Say they Smelling cannabis in Brixton is like smelling smoked fish in makola. Hope you take this on bro.”

Musician Quamina MP sympathised with him saying, “This is seriously wrong, nobody deserves this.”

TV personality Cookie Tee commented, “Oh my God, what did I just watch??”

“My heart on fire just watching this,” Sarkodie said with Blogger Kobby Kyei finding it “Very heartbreaking 💔”

Fuse ODG was released the same day but he plans to pursue the case further. He says he has filed a complaint with the Metropolitan Police.

“This isn’t the first time this has happened to me or @mrhackett1. At one point, it was almost a weekly occurance. The difference is that at this stage in life, we are now in the position to have the resources at our disposal to deal with these issues differently. We have filed a formal complaint with the @metpolice_uk”

“That said, we are not holding our breaths for justice from this system. The real battle is internal…the real battle is won when we don’t let them break our confidence and we maintain our identity and dignity.”
