I Didn’t Intend to Be Disrespectful- Medikal Apologises for Media Outburst

Medikal has rendered an unqualified apology to the media, expressing his regret for an outburst during an interview some days ago.

According to the Ghanaian rapper who filled out the O2 Indigo in London with his concert on May 3, his emotions got the better of him during the interview resulting in the unintended utterances he made.

“I love the media because they support my work but I’m that type of person if you come at me, I give you a response. Maybe my response might come off or sound like disrespect but I don’t intend to disrespect anyone.

“I’m a human being and I make mistakes. I apologize for using certain words if I did but within that heat of the period, I was vexed and I’m not a robot so I have feelings,” he told JoyNews in relation to his flared-up anger during an interview on UTV over a comment about his estranged wife, Fella Makafui.

Medikal used the occasion to express his heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians and his fans for their support in making his concert more than successful.

“To the people from afar who supported me, I want to say a big thank you. Media houses, bloggers and my colleagues for coming in their numbers,” he said on his arrival in the country.

“My people are here to show me love and I really appreciate it because they promote me and help me make a lot of noise about my show in London and it was a great success. I’m very excited about the warm reception I received. It’s crazy.”
