Deputy captain of Asante Kotoko SC, Emmanuel Gyamfi, seems to have rediscovered his highfaluting form in the Ghana Premier League.
The winger was named the Man of the Match award following his spirited performance to earn Kotoko the three maximum points.
The player has survived much turbulence as a player for Kotoko, but through it all, he has come out much stronger to exhibit 24-karat performance.
Gyamfi this season has been vilified due to poor performance or failure to showcase his previous performances in the League.
However, under the new Portuguese tactician, Mariano Barreto, the former Wa All Stars/ Legon Cities maestro have hit top gear of his form.
The player has so far glittered in the last two matches of the league. Apart from scoring a goal against Medeama, he really distinguished himself with his surging runs, interceptions, crosses and his ability to track back to help his defenders.
Emmanuel seems to be himself now, very composed, confidence and bespoke player tailored precisely to the intersection of what the team requires.
Just like Emmanuel Gyamfi who is bossing in confidence, Augustine Okrah too is putting sublime performance to help Kotoko win the League title.
Gyamfi, undoubtedly, is a wheel that can aid Kotoko to a silver if only he can maintain this form to right the wrongs.
His contract ends this season, and it will be a disaster if Kotoko let him go.
After 22 League matches, the Porcupine Warriors are leading the league log with 38 points.
