Power Outage in Ashanti East Region Due To Burnt HV Cable- ECG

The power outage in the Ashanti East Region has been attributed to the destruction of an HV cable.

The affected areas within this region included Ahwiaa, Buoho, Maase, Asenua, Aboaso, Bampenase, Akorem, Dote, Buokrom, Krofrom, Asawase, Kumaca and surrounding areas.

In a notice the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), said the cable had burned.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana, Ashanti East Region, wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public in the underlisted areas that the outage being experienced is as a result of burnt HV cable.”

The Company further assured affected customers that engineers were working assiduously to restore supply as soon as possible.

“ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to the affected customers.”
