Otumfuo Dental Outreach 2023 Debut In Adansi South

The Otumfuo Mobile Dental Outreach programme has resumed following the resumption of schools from the Christmas and New year break.

The team will make its 2023 debut in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti region beginning on February 1.

Two schools in the district will be visited in this week.

Aworoso DA Basic School at Aworoso near New Edubiase and Apagya Roman Catholic School at Apagya will be visited on February 1 and 2 respectively.

The Dental outreach team will embark on dental screening, oral hygiene education, scaling and polishing and extraction in these schools.

The Otumfuo Mobile Dental Outreach is an initiative of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation- a non governmental organisation established by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the monarch of the Asante Kingdom- in partnership with Smile for Everyone Foundation.

The Foundations have Opemsuo radio as its media partner.

The initiative is among the numerous projects the Otumfuo Foundation is undertaking to help bridge the gap between the rural and urban areas.

The team’s next stop from Adansi South District will be Apagya D/A Basic School in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti region on February 3, 2023.

This year’s outreach will be under the theme “Providing Dental and oral service to school children and rural communities.”
