NSMQ Star Francisca Lamini Graduates Summa Cum Laude from Harvard University

Francisca Lamini, the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz finalist from Keta Senior High Technical School, has graduated from Harvard University with Summa Cum Laude honours.

The NSMQ shared the news on its official platforms, congratulating the former quiz star as she ended her pre-medical journey at the Ivy League institution. Summa Cum Laude is the highest academic distinction awarded by Harvard, reserved for students who attain the top level of academic excellence.

Lamini rose to national fame during the 2021 NSMQ season, where she led Keta SHTS to the finals and became one of the most celebrated contestants in the competition’s history for her composure, speed, and mastery of science subjects.

Her performance inspired thousands of students across Ghana and helped elevate the profile of girls in STEM.

At Harvard, she pursued pre-medical studies and has now completed that chapter with the university’s highest academic recognition.

The NSMQ community has hailed her achievement as proof that brilliance from Ghanaian classrooms can compete and excel on the world stage.
