NSA Sets August 14 Deadline for Defaulters, Private Candidates to Apply for PIN Codes
The National Service Authority (NSA) has set Friday, August 14, 2026, as the deadline for defaulters and private candidates to apply for PIN codes for the 2026/2027 service year.
In a statement issued from its Headquarters on 46 Patrice Lumumba Road, Accra on August 6, 2026, the NSA said the exercise is specifically for Ghanaian citizens who, after completing tertiary education, were unable to enrol for national service in previous years.
According to the Authority, eligible applicants include private candidates whose credentials have been certified by accredited tertiary institutions, as well as Ghanaians who completed their studies abroad.
“The public is advised to take advantage of this final opportunity and ensure that all required documents are submitted before the deadline,” the statement signed by Management urged.
The NSA is encouraging all affected persons to complete their online registration and submit all required documents at an NSA office on or before the deadline.
The Authority also reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who has completed an accredited tertiary institution is mandated to undertake national service to the State.
Defaulters are those who completed school but failed to do service, while private candidates are persons who did not go through the regular school system but obtained certified tertiary qualifications.
