Mr. Emmanuel Osei Gyamfi, a member of the communication team for the Alan Kyerematen campaign, has raised concerns about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) perceived lack of loyalty towards Allan Kyerematen.
One notable contribution highlighted by Mr Gyamfi is Alan’s assistance in acquiring the NPP’s headquarters. He played a vital role in securing the party’s central base of operations, demonstrating his commitment to its cause.
Additionally, he noted that Alan had been a financial supporter of various NPP flagbearer campaigns, including that of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
He argued that Allan had demonstrated unwavering loyalty to the party over the years.
“If you don’t foster loyalty, you don’t deserve loyalty. The NPP, how loyal have they been to Alan Kyerematen?” Mr Gyamfi questioned during an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s Nkwantannanso with Kofi Boakye on September 27.
This statement comes in the wake of Alan Kyerematen’s announcement on Monday, where he declared his departure from the NPP after being a member for 31 years.
He revealed his intention to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming 2024 Presidential election.
Allan cited concerns about the intimidation of his supporters, controversial decisions by the NPP leadership, and allegations of some leaders hijacking the party as reasons for his decision.
