8 MMDCEs, CEOs to be Sacked – Coka Claims

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Chairman of the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency has sounded an alarm about some Chief Executive Officers and Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) losing their jobs.

According to Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA), President Akufo Addo is not done with his shake-up, as another set of appointees will be making way for new faces in the coming days.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, COKA hinted that eight more MMDCEs are most likely to be sacked, in addition to some Chief Executive Officers of state institutions who will also be exiting.

Their perceived exit is said to be the next phase of the overhaul of the president’s resolve to make changes to his government appointees after seven years in power.

“I smell 8 more DCEs to go. Ministers and Deputies have been reshuffled,” he hinted.

Chairman COKA says the expected shake-up is in fulfillment of President Akufo Addo’s pledge to hand over power to an NPP government, which has made the changes eminent.

“The head coach wants us to score more goals. All that the head coach is doing is that he promised to hand over the team to his assistant coach. No foreign coach. It is in line with his promise to the team,” he emphasized.

COKA, however, did not put any timeline to the expected shake-up.
