{Full Report} Govt’s Position Paper on Constitution Review Committee Recommendations

The Mahama government has accepted a key recommendation by the Constitutional Review Committee to extend the presidential term of office from four years to five years.

The Attorney-General announced the position on Thursday, stating that Government also agrees to reduce the minimum eligible age to contest for President from 40 years to 35 years.
