Not The Result We Wanted- Emmanuel Yeboah On Team’s 5:1 Defeat

Black Meteors winger Emmanuel Yeboah agrees together, his team disappointed Ghana when they conceded five goals against their opponents on Tuesday night at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

But in a social media post, he posited that they were neither expecting that result.

He attributed their defeat to the will of God.

“In all things we give thanks to the Lord. Not the result we wanted, very disappointing but God knows the best,” he tweeted.

“We live to fight another day for God & Country,” he added.

After securing a brace in Ghana’s first match on Sunday, his attempt against Morocco hit the goalpost while Ghana was down by a goal. He was also booked.

Yeboah was named among Danlad Ibrahim, Ernest Nuamah, Terry Yegbe, Dominic Nosbila, Abdul Issahaku, Aaron Essel, David Oppong Afrane, Edmund Arko-Mensah, Salim Adams and Hafiz Ibrahim as the starting eleven.

Seven minutes into the game, the hosts took the lead, extended it in the 13th minute and made it three 17 minutes later.

Salim Adams reduced the deficit for Ghana when he managed to pull one back two minutes to recess. Fatawu Issahaku made it two for Ghana in the 45th minute, however, was ruled out.

Three minutes after recess, the hosts extended their lead and added one more five minutes later.

In a post-match press conference, Coach Ibrahim Tanko said his boys showed Morocco “a lot of respect and they punished us for that.”

He also attributed the defeat to limited rest time.
