NE/R: Man Stabbed With Dagger During Altercation

A man has been stabbed in the head and stomach with a dagger following an altercation with a rival.

The incident transpired at Mangol, a village near Yunyoo in the North-East Region on June 5, 2025, the police service reported in a statement.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, Kwesi Bik Nelson stabbed the victim with a dagger, inflicting severe injuries to the head and stomach during a confrontation between the two.”

The victim was conveyed to the Baptist Medical Centre (BMC) in Nalerigu where he is receiving medical attention.

The suspect, Kwesi Bik Nelson, has since been arrested for attempted murder and assisting investigation.
