G/AR: 7-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Manhole

A seven-year-old boy drowned after falling into a water-filled manhole at Abuom Redtop in the Greater Accra Region.

A video released by the Ghana National Service (GNFS) showed the processes that were used to retrieve the lifeless body.

According to the Service, the incident transpired near West Hills Mall.

The said video posted on Facebook portrayed the use of a water extraction machine to reduce the level of water and the subsequent retrieval of the body by a firefighter.

Authorities are still piecing together details of the incident.
