Meek Mill’s Phone Found, “Thief” Arrested

The iPhone 14 of American rapper Meek Mill has been retrieved by the Ghana Police Service after it got lost on Thursday night.

The rapper announced his phone had been stolen in a social media post after performing at the Afro Nation festival which took place at the Marine Drive, Black Star Square and demanded the thief return it.

“They pick pocketed me for my phoneeeeeee SMH…. Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!!” a post on his Instagram status read.

Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta wale also took to social media to convince the thief to return the phone.

“Streetz if you know you have Meek Mill’s phone pls return am …that’s if it’s true. You can’t do that to a real hustler .. by Moro morning Return am. Meek inspires all of us on the street a lot #1DON“, he posted.

A late statement from the police service a day after the incident revealed the phone had been found alongside the alleged thief.

“The Police have arrested one suspect and retrieved a mobile phone that was stolen from Meek Mill, an American hip-hop artist.

“The suspect Nuhu Sule alias Ababaawa was arrested today, 30th December 2022 at his hideout in Accra. He is currently in police custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.”
