Mahama Urges Ghanaians to Demonstrate Faith Through Character and Service

President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to demonstrate their faith through character, integrity, and service to others, saying that true faith is reflected in everyday actions rather than in titles or status.
Speaking on Saturday at the Men’s Ministry Faith Conference of the Assemblies of God Church held at the Gomoa Pentecost Convention Centre, the President said every generation needs men of faith to provide moral leadership for families and society.
“Being President does not prove that I am a man of faith. It is my character and my works that will prove that I am a man of faith,” President Mahama told the gathering.
He challenged citizens to live out their faith in practical ways, including how they treat their spouses, raise their children, manage public resources, speak about others, and serve their communities.
According to him, integrity and accountability are the clearest hallmarks of genuine faith.
The President identified obedience to God, integrity of character, love for one’s family, and service to others as the key pillars of a life rooted in faith.
He also expressed concern about challenges confronting families and society, such as moral confusion, shifting values, and the weakening of the extended family support system.
He called on Ghanaians, and men in particular, to remain steadfast and uphold strong family values.
“Your character is a reflection of your faith,” President Mahama stated, urging men to take up responsibility as leaders in their homes, workplaces and communities.
