Kuami Eugene Involved In Road Accident

Ghanaian musician, Kuami Eugene, has been involved in a road accident with his GC- 220-21 registered Range Rover, sustaining injuries in the process.

The news shared by the Editor for Modern Ghana news portal, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, indicated that the accident occurred on March 17, 2024.

Per his account, the songwriter rammed his car into a tipper truck around 11pm at CP, close to the DSTV office towards the Dzorwulu traffic light in Accra.

He said he was riding behind the artiste’s vehicle when the incident occurred and rushed to his rescue.

“I was behind him, and so I was the first person to rush to his rescue. Kuami was struggling to come out so I brought him out of the car and helped the passenger too, before some guys also came around. I arranged for a vehicle to convey them to the UGMC hospital,” he is quoted to have said by JoyNews.

According to him, the artiste appeared to have broken his arm with a cut on his lips, the leg and an injury to his hip.

Kuami Eugene is a Ghanaian High-life and Afrobeat singer-songwriter signed to Lynx Entertainment and Empire Distribution.

He came to the limelight after releasing “Angela” in 2017 and has won several awards including New Artiste of the Year awards in 2018 at the Ghana Music Awards and the Ghana Music Awards UK, Most Promising Artiste in Africa award from AFRIMA, Artiste of the Year and High-life Artiste of the Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.

Among his hits are “Angela”, “Wish Me Well,” “Ohemaa” and “Monica”.
