Juabenhene Replaces Asante Mamponghene at National House of Chiefs

Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Juabenhene, has been appointed to join four representatives of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs at the National House of Chiefs.
He returns to national level after he first served in the House in 1975.
His appointment was affirmed on July 17, 2025, during the first meeting of the Regional House presided over by the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
“I have decided to appoint Juabenhene in the stead of Asante Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, at the National House of Chiefs. He will join the four other reps,” His Majesty informed the House.
The Asantehene said his decision was informed by the wide experience Nana Otuo Siriboe has garnered from his previous membership.
“Otuo Siriboe was first elected to the National House in 1975. That was fifty years ago so I decided he will return.”
The chief will now join Nana Effah-Appenteng, Bompatahene, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua, Kumawuhene, Baffour Owusu Bediako II, Domeabrahene, and Nana Okyere Kusi Aduako II, Essumegyahene.
Otumfuo encouraged all five representatives to unite in goodwill to push for the welfare of Ghanaians at the national-level.
