Hamza Obeng Optimistic About Winning Maximum Points Against Bechem United

Hamza Obeng, Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s caretaker coach, is optimistic his side will win all three points against Bechem United.

Hamza will be supervising his third game as a stop-gap coach after coach Prince Yaw Owusu left the role; he lost to Dreams FC and won the final league game at home against Eleven Wonders.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko won the encounter in the first round, Week 16, by a massive six goals to zero, the team’s greatest number of goals scored at home this season.

In a pre-match press conference with Asante Kotoko’s media, he expounded on how his side has prepared for the task ahead at Bechem, Nana Fosu Gyeabuor Park.

“The idea is to prepare well towards this game. And, during the week, we’ve had a lot of training sessions towards that game, and the idea is to go there and pick the maximum three points.”

The caretaker coach also highlighted how to build on his recent home triumph over Eleven Wonders and how he would want to close out the season as the interim head coach of Asante Kotoko.

“Well, we had a strategic plan during that week, and it reflected in the game, whereby we were able to score two goals.”

“We will continue from there. This week too, we‘ve done a lot of sessions, of which we are planning ahead of each department, and the motive is that we try to find a way by putting the ball at the back of their net and taking the maximum points as well.”

Coach Obeng has led the Young Porcupines to a Division 3 Middle League Play-Off, where they overcame Kumasi Royal Priesthood and advanced to the Round of 16, which they played last Thursday.
