Gov’t Is Committed To End Unemployment- Deputy Finance Minister

The Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu Constituency John Kumah have asserted that the Akuffo-Addo administration is geared toward ending unemployment in Ghana.

He said that it will be done utilizing innovative and sustainable ideas such as the YouStart project.

YouStart Commercial Component had eleven banks signing onto it last Tuesday, September 20th 2022 where the Ghanaian youth will partner with these banks and get loans from GHC 100,000 to 500,000 at reduced rates.

These banks will also not demand collateral, however, they will offer training and technical support to businesses of young people as we seek to create 1 million jobs and empower entrepreneurship in Ghana in years to come. He said.

He added that there will be no interference from the government. Meaning that the banks will be responsible for their assessment, recovery of loans and disbursement.
