Playing For Kotoko Will Increase My Chances For National Call-up- Hilary Adabo

Former FC Samartex midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo says choosing Asante Kotoko over other clubs was a step in the right direction.

According to him, Kotoko will spotlight him for his desired national call-up.

The 21-year-old has moved to Kotoko on a three-year contract. In an interview with the club’s media, he said, “There were a few offers, including some from outside.”

He furthered, “But I believe playing for Asante Kotoko puts me in the best place to grow and earn a call-up to the Black Stars. This is a big step for me, and I’m confident it’s the right one for my career.”

Adabo, before moving to Samartex, played for Real Tamale United and made over 60 appearances in two seasons in the Ghana Premier League.

In a statement, Kotoko described Adabo as a tough, intelligent midfielder who protects the back line with strong positional discipline.

“He reads the game well, tackles cleanly, recycles possession quickly, and keeps things calm in midfield. His timing, awareness, and ability to win second balls are key traits that strengthen the spine of any team.”
