GES Pays 3-Year Academic Intervention Arrears To SHS And SHTS Staff
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has commenced payment of three years’ Academic Intervention arrears for eligible staff of Senior High Schools and Senior High Technical Schools.
The arrears cover the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic years.
In a statement, GES said the payment is expected to strengthen staff motivation and support the effective delivery of the Academic Intervention Programme across schools.
“Management acknowledges the patience, understanding and professionalism demonstrated by staff while awaiting the release of the intervention,” the statement noted.
According to GES, the Academic Intervention Programme is a key initiative aimed at improving teaching and learning outcomes in SHSs and SHTSs.
Management further assured all stakeholders of its continued commitment to quality education through the programme.
The payment forms part of efforts by GES to clear outstanding obligations to staff and ensure smooth implementation of academic support initiatives in second cycle institutions.
