KMA To Evacuate Traders and Businesses Along Santasi-Ahodwo Stretch

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has announced an evacuation exercise along the Santasi-Ahodwo stretch.

Car dealers, mechanic shops, taxi operators, squatters, temporary structure owners, and other traders at the said location have up to October 30 to vacate.

This is to make way for a dual carriage road from Santasi to Ahodwo roundabout to link the Asokwa Interchange.

It comes after the Government of Ghana secured a grant from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

“Effective November 1, 2025, the KMA will undertake a forced eviction of any individual, businesses, or structures still occupying the designated stretch, to ensure the smooth execution of the project.”

The Assembly has therefore urged all affected persons and the general public to comply fully with this directive to facilitate the timely completion of the project.
