Four Ada SHS Students Arrested Over Viral Cutlass Threat Video
The Police have arrested four students of Ada Senior High Technical School after a video showing a student wielding a cutlass and threatening others circulated on social media.
Police said the video came to their attention at about 12:10 a.m. on May 22, 2026, leading to the dispatchment of a night patrol team immediately to the school to intervene.
With assistance from school authorities, officers arrested Raymond Gyamfi, 18, Oscar Amemoair, 18, Odartey Wilson, 18, and one juvenile identified in the video. The suspects are in police custody, assisting with investigations.
The police advised students to resolve disagreements peacefully through school structures and to avoid acts of violence or intimidation.
It also urged parents and school authorities to strengthen guidance, supervision, and discipline to maintain safety and order in schools.
The police added that investigations are ongoing and further developments will be communicated in due course.
