Parliament Won’t Have Peace if Ablekuma Election is Declared In Favour of NDC- Annoh Dompreh

The Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has served notice of perpetual unrest in parliament if the Ablekuma North Constituency Parliamentary election is declared in favour of the Ewurabena Aubynn.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP says all signs point to their candidate, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh, as the winner of the polls which has been outstanding since the election in December 2024.
Addressing his party folks in the constituency, on February 6, 2025, he noted that anything short of a victory declaration for the NPP candidate would be retaliated.
He has given the Electoral Commission one week to declare the results in his party’s favour.
“We have given the EC one week that is seven days. The EC must come and declare our candidate as the winner of the Ablekuma Election.
“If the NDC led by Mahama Ayariga will not reasonably accept that we have won the election and they decide to use violence to oppose the collation, they will not have peace in Parliament. If the IGP has decided to turn a blind eye to this.”
Meanwhile, he egged on his party folks in the constituency to join forces in fighting the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the results.
“As a loyal NPP member, if you come across another NPP member fighting an NDC fighting, join the NPP member to beat the NDC.”
Both parliamentary candidates are claiming victory while efforts to collate the results have consistently been marred by disagreements and conflicts.
