De Zerbi Proud Of Boys After Comeback Draw

Coach Roberto De Zerbi says he is proud of his boys after they battled back from a 2-0 deficit at Marseille in their Europa League group-stage clash.

The English Premier League side managed to earn themselves a late point in the south of France on Thursday.

This followed their 6-1 humiliation at the hand of Aston Villa in their last league match.

De Zerbi extoled his side saying, “I’m really proud of the performance today, of the players. After the defeat 6-1 at Villa Park and the second goal to close the first half at 2-0, this reaction is incredible. For it I am very happy.”

He added, “I want to be honest more than other days, other games. I think we are not playing well, it’s a very tough period for us in this moment. It’s difficult to show our quality like last season, like a month ago.”

Brighton will face Liverpool on Sunday before hopping onto their next league match thirteen days later.
