Danger Looms As Residents Of Kwaman Domase Sit On Cholera Time Bomb

Residents of Kwaman Domase in the Sekyere Central of the Ashanti are sitting on cholera time bomb as Fulani herdsmen pollute their one and only source of water in the community.

According to the residents, the whole community depends on one stream for their daily domestic activities.

Fulani herdsmen have found their way into the community and have begun polluting their water with their cattle, they said.

“We now drink with cattle and bath with cattle which is dangerous to our health”, the residents decried.

They disclosed that some residents have begun experiencing symptoms of cholera which have brought fear and panic to both children and parents in the community.

They have, therefore, ordered owners of these cattle to evacuate the community immediately.

Expressing concerns, Kwaman Domasehene Nana Asiama Duah ll said the issue is devastating.

He called on IGP and the District Chief Executive of Nsuta, Benjamin Kingsley Koduah, to as a matter of urgency evacuate all these Fulani herdsmen from the District.
