A/R: Police Arrest 2, Hunt Down Other Suspects in NKasiem Companies Robberies

The police have arrested two armed suspects for an armed robbery attack within Nkasiem in the Ahafo Region.
The suspects were among a syndicate that staged a simultaneous night robbery at a gold-buying and cocoa-buying companies located at Nkasiem on December 2.
There was also an unsuccessful attempt to break into the vault of the Asutifi Rural Bank, also located within the same vicinity, the police reported in a statement.
They are said to have seized two (2) Police rifles as well as shot and wounded one person in the thigh.
“Through a targeted intelligence-led operation, two (2) of the suspects were arrested, and a manhunt is underway to get the remaining suspects arrested.”
The Inspector-General of Police has also deployed a special anti-robbery team from the National Police Headquarters, Accra, to assist the Regional Command to pursue other members of the syndicate who are currently on the run.
Meanwhile, the victim was treated and discharged at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Hwidiem/AHR.
“The Command assures the public that all members of the criminal syndicate will be identified and arrested to face the full rigours of the law.”
